Sascha K. Alexander will turn fundamental knowledge about self-publishing into practical lessons and pragmatic solutions that authorpreneurs can easily implement.

Sascha K. Alexander: Essentials for Authorpreneurs

Authorpreneurs shape their literary ventures as business managers, creative directors, as well as marketing and sales managers. Under my new pen name, Sascha K. Alexander, I will provide you with guides, training manuals, and supplemental materials to grow your author business.

Things have changed a lot for authors in the last twenty years. Traditional publishing is there, but self-publishing is becoming more popular. The abundance of freelance editors, cover designers, and (digital) services has empowered authors to establish direct connections with their audience. Personal websites, social media, and email marketing now play pivotal and direct roles in this dynamic.

With this in mind, I firmly believe that every individual can write and publish a book. However, building a self-publishing business demands not just a mere desire. Passion, professionalism, and tenacity are crucial to your success.

“Teach what I learn, learn what I teach”

Few things captivate me more than self-publishing. Through an extensive array of articles, books, and e-learning courses, I have learned a lot about the ins and outs of book creation, publication, and promotion. The culmination of all that I learned period came to fruition when I published The Empath Series under my other pen name, SK Alexander.

You see, writing is not just a craft for me, it is my passion. Being an author and writer is who I am: the good, the bad, and everything else in between. Each word penned, each topic explored, adds to my affection. Moreover, writing is my path to self-discovery and personal growth.

We all have unique skills and ideas that can help others, despite our backgrounds. I’ve always enjoyed sharing what I learned, particularly on topics that I’m passionate about. That made me want to help other authorpreneurs. I want to empower others and enhance my understanding of the subject by teaching what I have learned. That’s why I want to share what I’ve learned about self-publishing.

The meaning behind “Essentials for Authorpreneurs”

For me, the tagline “Essentials for Authorpreneurs” is more than just a catchy phrase I chose for marketing reasons: it’s the foundation of my ventures. Something that is ‘essential’ is not only necessary to a particular subject but also encompasses the most basic aspect, the essence, of a thing.

Moreover, it tells you what to expect: fundamental advice tailored to you. For now, my focus will be on building a business and growing your audience. My goal is to distill my expertise in business development, branding, and book marketing into useful content like articles, books, and, someday, training videos.

Why you can learn from me

Despite publishing several books, other authors will offer more insightful perspectives on certain subjects. Mark Dawson (“Advertising for Authors”) and Derek Doepker (“Audiobooks Made Easy”) are just two examples of influencers with extensive knowledge of their areas.

So, what can you learn from me? What I bring to the table is a unique perspective and a tailored approach that stems from my knowledge and experience in communications. I have been writing and publishing for almost two decades. I have worked as a public relations officer for a national charity and non-profit organization. Later, I transitioned to a role with an international publisher, where I led online communications and wrote about advances in medicine and medical technology. Beyond this, I founded and operated a digital magazine that I sold to another publisher.

Throughout my career, I’ve played a pivotal role in (re)launching websites, magazines, and newspapers. I've managed social media and newsletters, engaging different groups with tailored content. I’ve also written reports, interviews, press releases, and other texts on various topics. Because of my varied experience, I can offer expert advice on (online) communication and (book) marketing.
