Paused, Not Stopped: Status of the Tales from the Omniverse
Here we are at the end of 2025. I can’t believe how fast this year has disappeared. Still, it’s time to look back on the past twelve months—a year that challenged me more than I expected, but also laid the groundwork for the future.
On a personal note, I’m doing my best to stay healthy and fit. There are still hurdles, but overall, I feel good. Beyond that, not much has happened in my personal life—I spent most of the year focused on my writing.
Status of The Prince of Hellscape Series
My top priority for 2025 had been to publish my nonfiction guide, Branding for Authorpreneurs. I also hoped to release at least one—maybe even two—novels in The Prince of Hellscape Series. Unfortunately, the intense work on the guide took far more time and energy than expected. Thus, I postponed the publication of the next dark urban fantasy.
The good news? I did finish the next installment’s first draft, and it promises even more supernatural intrigue. Could I have pushed for a December release? Maybe. But the result would have been rushed. However, rushing a publication is not a good idea. Quality matters! That’s why I’m taking the time necessary to finish the manuscript. After a short break from drafting fiction to focus on administrative tasks, I’ll return to the novel in early 2026 with a clearer head and more energy.

Eclipse of Avarice
The dark urban fantasy follows Luminael Morningstar, the Antichrist, and the daemona Crowley, as they carve a new life amongst the mortals in Sin City.
Status of my Tales from the Omniverse
This marks the second year in a row that I haven’t published as much fiction as planned. Last year, I focused on my rebranding, and this year, I focused on my nonfiction writing. Not only did I not get to publish a novel, but I also didn’t get to the German translations of The Empath Series or expand my distribution beyond Amazon to Kobo or Apple Books.
However, even though I published less than I had planned, I did not waste this year. Rather, I strengthened my author platform and prepared my business for the long run. There’s plenty left to do, but I’m stepping into the future far better equipped.

Speculative fiction content strategy
My content strategy improved in 2025, but there’s still plenty of room to grow. I’m used to working with detailed editorial plans in my day job, which is why I shifted to a more structured content plan. Early in 2025, I mapped out standalone articles and multi-part series. That preparation saved me a lot of time whenever I sat down to draft blog posts or emails. Still, there were too many moments when I struggled with what to write—mostly because my attention was elsewhere.
A big part of that was the guide. Writing, rewriting, and polishing Branding for Authorpreneurs, as well as related blog posts and emails, took up a lot of time. On top of that, I spent countless hours updating the text and images of older articles—sometimes even twice. Was it necessary? Yes. Was it time-efficient? Not even close.
Another related challenge was my tendency to write long, in-depth posts. They’re helpful, but they eat up entire days. So, without question, my biggest priority now is to improve my workflow. Over the next few weeks, I’ll refine my content strategy so I can redirect more of my energy toward writing books in 2026.
