Escapism – Why I do what I do

Escapism – Why I do what I do

The gentle arrival of spring weather serves as a reminder of the very reason I’m passionate about what I do.

Can you believe it’s already May? I was so wrapped up in my WIP that I almost missed the spring weather. It’s not a bad thing, mind you. I’ve made substantial progress on the next installment of “The Empath Series”. Yet it reminded me why I do what I do.

In a world that can often be unforgiving, books offer solace. Many times, losing myself in a book has carried me through challenging phases of life. I relish delving into new universes and getting to know characters to the extent that I feel intertwined with their lives.

Occasionally, it’s simpler to reside in a fictional realm than face reality. This is why I write: to fashion an escape for you, my dear readers. Escapism, defined by Merriam-Webster as the “habitual diversion of the mind to purely imaginative activity or entertainment as an escape from reality or routine,” is something I cherish.

Contrary to some opinions, I see escapism as a positive outlet. Knowing that my stories have provided solace or a break for someone gives my work a profound sense of purpose.

My aim is to entertain you and be at your service through my writing. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to everyone who purchased a copy or read my tales via Kindle Unlimited.

I eagerly await your thoughts on my stories.
